Members Raise £710 for the RNLI

Supporting good causes has long been part of Tamar DA’s identity, and this year our members once again demonstrated just how strong that tradition remains. Throughout the 2025 season, members came together to raise an impressive £710 for the RNLI.

The fundraising effort took place across the entire season, with contributions coming from the generosity of members who gave what they could at meets and events. Whether it was buying a strip of raffle tickets, or helping organise an activity, every small act added up to a remarkable total.

The RNLI’s work is well known to all of us who enjoy the coastlines of Devon and Cornwall. Their volunteers launch in all weathers, day or night, to save lives at sea.

A proud moment came at the Tamar DA AGM, where a representative from the local RNLI station joined us to receive the cheque. The presentation was warmly received, with thanks expressed on behalf of the crews who rely on public support to maintain their lifesaving service. It was a reminder that our contributions, however modest they may feel individually, truly help keep this vital organisation afloat.

The DA would like to extend thanks to everyone who donated, organised, or supported fundraising activities throughout the year. Your kindness and enthusiasm reflect the very best of our DA community.
