We’re delighted to announce that following a vote among our members, Tamar DA has selected Plymouth Hospitals Charity – Renal Unit as our official charity partner for 2026. Throughout the coming year, we’ll be raising funds and showing our support for this fantastic local cause, and we’re proud to confirm that every penny we raise will go directly to the Renal Unit to help them continue their vital work.

Charity 2026: Plymouth Hospitals Charity – Renal Unit

Plymouth Hospitals Charity is the official charitable arm of University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, working tirelessly to enhance care, create welcoming and supportive environments, and help shape the future of healthcare across our region. While the NHS provides core services, the charity steps in to fund extra support, equipment, improvements and initiatives that go above and beyond what standard funding covers, all designed to make a real difference to patients, their families and the incredible staff who work within our local health services.

Members have specifically chosen to direct all our fundraising efforts in 2026 to the Renal Unit. This means every donation, every penny raised through our events and activities, will be sent straight to the unit, where it will be used to support their work, enhance patient care, improve facilities or provide resources that make a positive difference to those living with kidney conditions, as well as supporting the dedicated team who care for them every day.
