It’s nearly time for one of the most loved weekends in the Tamar DA calendar — our Bonfire & Fireworks Meet at Newnham Park! This is the kind of weekend that brings everyone together: crisp autumn air, glowing firelight, great food, and plenty of laughter.
Whether you’re a long‑time Tamar DA camper or joining us for the first time, this meet is always a highlight — and 2026 is shaping up to be a brilliant one.
🎇 What’s happening?
A sparkling traditional firework display to light up the valley
Burgers and hot dogs served fresh and sizzling
And of course… THE BIG BONFIRE!
We’ll be building a proper Tamar‑style blaze, and if you’ve got any old furniture, wood, or spare bits of timber, we’d love you to bring them along. Every contribution helps make the bonfire bigger, brighter, and even more spectacular.
Camping? Make sure you book!
If you’re camping for the weekend, please book your pitch through the Tamar DA website. It helps us plan, prepare, and make sure everything runs smoothly for everyone.
Not camping? You’re still very welcome!
If you’re not camping but would like to join us on Saturday evening, we’d be delighted to have you. Just drop a quick email to secretary@tamarda.co.uk so we can make sure there’s plenty of food for everyone.
We’ll be collecting donations during the evening to help cover the cost of the food and fireworks. Every little bit helps keep this much‑loved meet going strong.
