St. Minver

Trewint Farm, St Minver, Wadebridge, Cornwall PL27, UK.

We have two holiday sites at Trewint farm St Minver.  One for a week over the May bank holiday run by our youth to raise money for their funds and one in August, which is on for four weeks.

The site is about 6 miles from Wadebridge and 2 miles from Polzeth.  It is a green field site with water tap and Elsan disposal point.  The field is gently sloping with beautiful views over the Cornish countryside.

The nearest shops are in the village of Rock ¾ miles away there is a spar mini market, bakers, butchers, P.O, bank, newsagent and garage that sell fuel and gas, also a fish and chip shop.  We are only 10 minutes walk off road to a 2 mile long sandy flat bench called Daymer Bay.  Polzeth beach is one of the best spots for surfing in North Cornwall and is patrolled by lifeguards.

This is an excellent area for walking.  The whole area has many footpaths; the most popular is from the site to Daymer bay across the golf course to the famous little church of St. Encrdoc further on to an ancient, well known as Jesus well.  The church once buried in the sand was dug out by hand.  You can cross the sand dunes to the beach and take the coastal path to Polzeth or Rock.

From Rock there is a foot/cycle ferry to Pastow. Cycles can be hired in Pastow or Wadebridge as the camel trail starts from Pastow and uses a disused railway along the river camel to Wadebridge and Bodmin then to the western edge of Bodmin moor.

All types of boating takes place at Rock.  There are a number of pubs, hotels and cafes in the area.  Some with easy walking distance offering a wide range of food choices and prices.

We are well situated for visiting most places in Cornwall; Eden Project, Port Issac, Landhydrock House (NT) and Newquay to name a few.

Liverton

Liverton Football Club, Old Liverton Road, Liverton, Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot, TQ12 6JF.

This site is on the Liverton football field and is very flat.  We have use of the toilets and showers in the club house but these will not be open 24 hours so your own sanitation is essential.

The site is a few minutes from the A38 and is very close to the towns of Newton Abbot and Bovey Tracey, and on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.

Trago Mills the huge undercover shopping centre which is within walking distance from the site.
